Pending client inputHow we are paid
We are usually paid by commission from the insurer when you take out a policy we arrange, and we may also charge a broker fee for arranging or servicing your cover. The full detail of our remuneration, including commission rates, fees and any other benefits, is set out in the Financial Services Guide above, and we will tell you about the fees and commissions that apply to your policy before you proceed.
Professional indemnity insurance
Fitton Insurance Brokers Australia Pty Ltd maintains professional indemnity (PI) insurance that satisfies the compensation arrangement requirements for retail clients under section 912B of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). This PI cover is subject to its terms and conditions and extends to claims in relation to the conduct of representatives and employees who no longer work for us (but who did at the relevant time).
Our comparison approach
We are not tied to any single insurer. We compare cover and pricing across the insurers and underwriting agencies on our panels, including our Steadfast and Lloyd's access, to recommend a program that suits your needs. We do not compare every product available in the market. The basis on which we compare and recommend products is explained in our Financial Services Guide.
Code of practice
As a member of the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA), Fitton Insurance Brokers Australia Pty Ltd subscribes to the Insurance Brokers Code of Practice. The Code sets the standards of service and professional conduct you can expect from us. Read the Insurance Brokers Code of Practice.
Complaints
If you have a concern, please contact us first. If we cannot resolve it, you can refer the matter to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA). Full details, including timeframes, are on our complaints page.
